Welcome, welcome, welcome!
Hey there, I’m Rafe the designer & developer of the metrics baking sheet, creator of this website & part-time baker.​
The metrics baking website is new; the sheet is pretty much that way too!
Both have been developed from humble beginnings, the sheet started with me checking recipes that I managed to fail miserably at for one reason or another, then tweaking ingredients & methods until I baked something that actually resembled a loaf of bread!
I’ve since developed the sheet into a one-stop-shop by adding more elements from “nice to haves” found after reading other people’s comments from my travels across the internet.
My goal now is to help you achieve all-around better & consistent results, hence the website, where you’ll find a whole range of ways & means to create, compare, manage, track & obviously bake a variety of bread. Bake single loaves, small or large batch bakes virtually calculator free.

Oh and if you’re wondering what I do when I’m not baking, it’s safe to assume that I’m probably comparing recipes & updating those on the website.
Most recently though I’m in the design phase of a kitchen countertop & seating set. Hopefully in the not-too-distant future, this will be moved to the construction phase.
